Integris Health to take over hospital after AllianceHealth lease expires

Oklahoma City-based Integris Health will take over as operator of Woodward (Okla.) Hospital after AllianceHealth's lease expires Nov. 30.

AllianceHealth, an affiliate of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, told the City of Woodward last year that it would not renew the hospital lease when it expires. Since then, city officials have been searching for a new operator.

Intergis is the largest nonprofit health system in Oklahoma. It currently operates 16 hospitals, including those through affiliation. It will begin operating Woodward Hospital on Dec. 1.

"The City of Woodward is excited to partner with Integris Health to bring exceptional healthcare to our community, which will not only benefit Woodward residents but all of Northwest Oklahoma, and the tri-state region," Shaun Barnett, city manager, said in a May 2 news release. "The partnership with Integris Health will also establish Woodward as a regional source for healthcare services."
