The board of Boise, Idaho-based St. Luke's Health System has approved a merger between its hospital in Twin Falls and St. Benedicts Medical Center in Jerome, Idaho, according to a Times-News report.
Under the agreement, St. Benedicts will become a subsidiary corporation of St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center and will change its name to St. Luke's Jerome.
St. Luke's announced the decision three days after the board met to approve the merger, according to the report.
