Health insurer Highmark and St. Johnstown, Pa.-based Conemaugh Health System have extended a contract giving Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield members in-network access to three
CHS will also be participating in Highmark's patient-centered medical home to help improve patients' health outcomes through the use of population health and improved data sharing.
"Highmark strives to reach mutually acceptable agreements with independent health systems to assure our members have affordable access to quality medical care," said Michael Fiaschetti, president of health markets at Highmark, in a news release. "In reaching this goal with Conemaugh Health System, we are able to best serve the needs of the community."
