Under the proposed ownership model, HealthCare Midwest will retain its physician-led operational structure and CEO Jim McKernan will continue serving as the senior executive, according to the release. However, HealthCare Midwest's name will change to Bronson Healthcare Midwest.
Bronson Healthcare and HealthCare Midwest will begin working on the definitive agreements necessary to complete the transaction. Until the transaction is finalized in 2013, the organizations will continue to operate separately and independently, according to the release.
