There were 119 healthcare industry transactions in January, up 24 percent from the 96 deals in December 2014, according to a report from Irving Levin Associates.
Healthcare services deals, including 10 hospital transactions, made up 62 percent of all transactions in January.
Technology deals made up the other 45 transactions last month, including 22 in the biotechnology sector, according to the report.
