After years of financial struggles, HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, an integrated health system, is looking at a corporate alliance with Valhalla, N.Y.-based Westchester Medical Center, according to a Daily Freeman report.
HealthAlliance president and CEO David Scarpino told the Daily Freeman that HealthAlliance board members have agreed to a letter of intent to affiliate with the medical center.
HealthAlliance has two campuses in Kingston, N.Y., and it also operates Margaretville (N.Y.) Hospital, Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville and Woodland Pond at New Paltz (N.Y.).
If the affiliation becomes final, combined services from both of HealthAlliance's hospitals in Kingston would be housed in one building, according to the report. The report did not specify which building would be home to the combined services.
