Rochester, N.H.-based Frisbie Memorial Hospital is a few steps closer to joining Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
The hospital signed a letter of intent in January to merge with HCA. In October, Frisbie Memorial filed a notice of the proposed transaction with the New Hampshire attorney general's office, according to Fosters.com.
The New Hampshire Attorney General's Charitable Trusts Unit is accepting public comment on the proposed deal, and a public hearing is scheduled for early next year. The Charitable Trusts Unit will review the proposed transaction and issue a report by Feb. 20, 2020.
