Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center has announced a clinical affiliation with Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, N.J.
Palisades and HackensackUMC have agreed to provide an on-site neonatal attending physician through HackensackUMC's Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital for the Level 2 nursery at Palisades. In addition, HackensackUMC will provide 24-hour coverage and availability for neonatal consults, transports and in-house pediatric hospitalist coverage.
As part of the affiliation, HackensackUMC will also establish an electronic transfer protocol in order to ensure a quick turnaround for reports on pediatric cardiology ultrasound and echocardiography readings for Palisades.
