Grinnell (Iowa) Regional Medical Center will sign a letter of intent to partner with UnityPoint Health – Des Moines and University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City.

- Improved healthcare services could include specialty service, telemedicine and research, along with the introduction of insurance products and direct-to-employers programs.
- The partnership would also allow the organizations to share quality data and standardized best-practice treatment protocol with each other.
- Under the agreement, Grinnell Regional Medical Center's board will still hold a key role in leadership and governance of the organization.
- Formal discussions will start immediately and each organization will work to receive necessary approvals from their governing boards.
