Lebanon, Pa.-based Good Samaritan Health System announced it is seeking proposals from other health systems to form a strategic alliance.
"While we are not requiring any particular business model, potential partners must propose options that fit our needs and those of our community," said Good Samaritan Board Chairman John Welch, MD, in a news release.
The announcement comes after the more than 1,400-employee system cut 50 positions in April, leading to 22 layoffs including some clinical staff.
In the coming months, Good Samaritan will reach out to potential partners and could begin exclusive negotiations later this year.
