Fairmont (W.Va.) General Hospital has entered into a 60-day period of negotiations with West Virginia United Health System in Fairmont to explore options for a partnership, according to a WBOY 12 report.
FGH's board of directors announced its intent to explore a partnership in December 2011. According to the report, FGH received interest from several healthcare organizations and chose WV United Health because of its "strong track record" and potential capital commitment to FGH.
