San Francisco-based Dignity Health recently closed its acquisition of U.S. HealthWorks Medical Group in Valencia, Calif., an independent operator of occupational medicine and urgent care centers, according to a San Francisco Business Times report.
The deal was originally announced in early July, and is part of Dignity's plan to become a national player in healthcare, according to the report. Under the deal, U.S. HealthWorks will be a wholly owned for-profit unit of Dignity.
