Bronson Healthcare and Constance Brown Hearing Centers announced the two institutions are joining forces to enhance the delivery of audiology services in Southwest Michigan, according to an Aug. 24 news release.
Constance Brown Hearing Centers will transfer assets, operations, and the employment of its staff to Bronson Healthcare's management by the end of the year. Additionally, they will make a sizeable donation to the Bronson Health Foundation in the form of a restricted endowment to assist hearing-impaired patients in need of financial assistance.
Kim Kragt, audiologist and Constance Brown Hearing Centers' acting director, said that the organization has evolved over the years to provide reputable service in the community but noted that the changing landscape of the healthcare industry made independent operation increasingly difficult.
"We know that Bronson shares our commitment to patients and the community and has the administrative resources to carry our legacy forward," Ms. Kragt said.
Constance Brown Hearing Centers is a nonprofit hearing healthcare provider founded in 1942 through an estate gift.
