Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corp.'s management and consulting arm, Community Hospital Consulting, has agreements with two new hospitals: Bowie (Texas) Memorial Hospital and Monroe County Hospital in Forsyth, Ga.
CHC started managing Bowie Memorial Hospital, a 49-bed facility, effective Feb. 1.
"The new relationship with CHC will help to strengthen our hospital for future success and prepare for the myriad of changes occurring within the healthcare environment," Tim Winn, chair of the hospital's board of directors, said in a news release.
The agreement for CHC to provide management support services to Monroe County Hospital became effective April 4 after receiving approval by the Hospital Authority of Monroe County.
"Our Hospital Authority is extremely proactive in keeping our hospital viable and available to our service area," said Kay Floyd, CEO of the 25-bed hospital, in a news release. "We are excited to begin collaborating on several levels with CHC for their expertise and resources which are often outside the reach of a stand-alone facility."
