Cleveland Clinic officials has partnered with Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica Cancer Institute in an effort to provide the community with more access to care, according to NBC-24 news.
Officials from both organizations said the goal of the partnership is to make the lives of patients easier by making it easier for patients to receive second opinions on diagnoses and to allow cancer specialists to work together on treatment plans, according to the article.
"Cancer care is a journey. It is not just an episode or treatment. It impacts the patient, it impacts the family, and it takes a very passionate and dedicated group of individuals to impact that care," said Ann Kujawa, vice president of ProMedica Cancer Institute, in a statement.
