Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems has completed the sale of College Station (Texas) Medical Center and Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon (Tenn.).
CHS entered into a definitive agreement May 23 to sell 167-bed College Station Medical Center to Bryan, Texas-based CHI St. Joseph Health. The transaction was finalized at the end of July, according to a press release from CHI St. Joseph Health.
College Station Medical Center will be renamed CHI St. Joseph Health-College Station and become a nonprofit, Catholic hospital.
CHS completed the sale of 245-bed Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon to Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Aug. 1. The deal closed four months after CHS entered into a definitive agreement to sell the hospital. The hospital's new name is Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital, according to the Nashville Tennessean.
