Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center met with representatives from three health systems June 14 to discuss how a potential management services agreement would operate, according to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle.
Officials said the hospital received proposals from five interested parties. Two of the health systems withdrew their consideration, leaving Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health, Denver-based HealthONE and Aurora-based UCHealth up for consideration.
Phyllis Sherard, PhD, chief strategy officer and vice president of population health for CRMC, told the Tribune Eagle the health systems are "neck and neck" in terms of expertise, and that "all are very strong" candidates.
Dr. Sherard said the next step in the process is for CRMC leadership and county commissioners to visit the three health systems and continue negotiations.
Officials said they hope to select a partner by the end of October. CRMC began its partnership search in January.
