Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health and DaVita HealthCare Partners in Denver have announced they are forming a joint venture with an aim of increasing care coordination and lowering healthcare costs for patients in Colorado and Kansas.
Centura and DaVita will each have a 50 percent ownership in the new entity, and it will be based in Colorado.
Through the joint venture, the two organizations hope to provide the necessary tools to allow primary care physicians and specialists to make improvements in disease management and consumer engagement.
"The unique joint venture with DaVita HealthCare Partners will accelerate our efforts to transform the healthcare delivery system to better position providers to meet the healthcare needs of consumers," said Gary Campbell, president and CEO of Centura.
