Macon-based Central Georgia Health Network has entered into partnership talks with Stratus Healthcare.
Formed in July 2013, Stratus is a collaboration of health systems, hospitals and physicians in south and central Georgia. The groups represented by Stratus are a clinically integrated network.
Together with Macon, Ga.-based Navicent's health facilities, CGHN's facilities serve 15 counties in central Georgia. Central Georgia Health System rebranded as Navicent Health in 2014.
"As we move towards population health management, collaborations among providers, such as the potential partnership between CGHN and Stratus, is going to be critical to improve the health of the patients we serve," said Ninfa Saunders, DHA, president and CEO of Navicent Health and co-founder of Stratus Healthcare. Dr. Saunders is also a board member of Stratus and CGHN.
