Horse Cave, Ky.-based Caverna Memorial Hospital will become part of Bowling Green, Ky.-based The Medical Center, effective Jan. 1.
The boards of directors of both organizations agreed to the deal in August.
With the transaction finalized, 25-bed Caverna Memorial Hospital has changed its name to The Medical Center at Caverna.
"We are proud to become part of The Medical Center's healthcare system and look forward to what the future holds for healthcare in Hart County," said Alan Alexander, vice president and administrator of The Medical Center at Caverna.
