New York City-based global asset manager Blackstone successfully closed its acquisition of Knoxville, Tenn.-based TeamHealth Holdings, a physician services organization.
Officials publicized the $6.1 billion transaction Oct. 31, 2016.
Under the terms of the agreement, TeamHealth is now a privately held company and will no longer be traded on the New York Stock Exchange, effective today.
