Berkeley Research Group has closed a deal to acquire the equity ownership of Chicago-based Prism Healthcare Partners.
The transaction, which creates one of the nation's largest healthcare performance improvement consulting firms, combines Emeryville, Calif.-based BRG, a global consulting firm, and Prism, an independently owned healthcare consulting firm, into one group, BRG | Prism Healthcare.
Paul Osborne, managing director of BRG's healthcare performance improvement group, and Mukesh Gangwal, formerly Prism's president and CEO, will serve as co-managers of the combined group.
Officials said BRG | Prism Healthcare will help healthcare providers improve financial performance and quality of care as well as navigate the shift to value-based care. They said the group will use analytics and clinical expertise to help healthcare providers improve operational performance.
The deal was initially announced in May.
