The medical center isn't interested in a full-asset merger or sale and intends to maintain a local board with local control, according to the report. BAMC's key requirements for a partnership include access to capital to support expansion, a future growth strategy, access to managerial and clinical expertise and access to an established accountable care organization.
Negotiating the letter of intent is expected to take three to four weeks, according to the report.
