Following a preliminary non-binding letter of intent, Miami-based Baptist Health South Florida has signed a formal affiliation agreement with Boynton Beach, Fla.-based Bethesda Health and Bethesda Hospital East.
"We believe that this potential affiliation will leverage our shared vision for improving the health of our respective communities," said Roger L. Kirk, president and CEO of Bethesda Health.
The affiliation is expected to close sometime during the first quarter of 2015.
