Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care and Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, Wis., have entered into a partnership that gives Aurora a minority stake in BAMC.
Under the agreement, 99-bed BAMC has access to Aurora's physicians, and Aurora will infuse capital into BAMC. Additionally, BAMC will begin using the same EHR as Aurora.
"Aurora is pleased to partner with BAMC to share clinical best practices and expertise," said Sandra Ewald, president of Aurora Health Care's Green Bay, Manitowoc and Marinette patient service market.
A new board of directors will be formed in the coming months for the joint venture.
