Ashland (Ore.) Community Hospital announced it has finalized an agreement in which Medford, Ore.-based Asante will take over its management beginning Monday.
Asante Chief Administrative and Finance Officer Marvin Haas will take on the CEO role at the Ashland hospital. Current Ashland CEO Mark Marchetti will stay on in a consulting capacity through May 1 to aid in the transition.
The Ashland City Council approved the plan in February, under which Asante pledged $10 million in capital improvements and committed to attempting to employ existing Ashland staff at either the hospital or elsewhere in Asante's network.
