Amery (Wis.) Regional Medical Center will join Bloomington, Minn.-based HealthPartners, effective Jan. 1.
Under the agreement, ARMC will retain its own governing and foundation boards, according to a news release. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The transaction builds on an existing collaboration between the two organizations, under which HealthPartners physicians and other practitioners have provided primary and specialty care and ARMC.
"Our mission remains the same — to provide our patients with accessible, comprehensive, quality health care while promoting health and wellness within the communities we serve," said Michael Karuschak, Jr., CEO of Amery Regional Medical Center, in the release. "HealthPartners has been a strong partner since 1998, so joining the family only strengthens our mission. Working together we can improve services, control costs, access new technology and look to the future with an innovative spirit."
