Under the letter of intent, the organizations' children's hospitals would join forces to recruit and share pediatric sub-specialists. Loyola and ABHS will also work together on a population health initiative and work to expand access to care at each of the institutions.
"This new affiliation will benefit patients by building on and expanding the clinical program strengths of each health system, making them more available to the communities we serve," said Patricia Cassidy, senior vice president and chief strategy officer at ABHS.
