Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center and Glens Falls (N.Y.) Hospital have agreed to affiliate, the organizations announced Sept. 12.
Under the agreement, the hospitals will retain their independence and governance but work together to improve care in the region.
The agreement, approved by both boards, is expected to be finalized next year. It still needs approval from state and federal officials.
