Alamance Regional to Merge With Cone Health in NC

Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, N.C., is merging with Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health, according to a Winston-Salem Journal report.

The boards of both organizations have approved the deal, which is expected to be completed by spring. ARMC will retain its name and both organizations have stated there are no plans for job cuts at the hospital.

"Cone Health and Alamance Regional already share the values that will create a strong partnership," John Currin Jr., president and CEO of Alamance Regional, said in the report. "We have common missions, and our cultures are very similar — both organizations value our patients, our employees and our communities."
