Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, the nation's largest dermatology practice, has completed the acquisition of Capital Dermatology in Alexandria, Va.
Capital Dermatology is a dermatology practice owned by Bruce Glassman, MD, a board- certified dermatologist. Dr. Glassman is the founding member of Capital Dermatology and has been practicing in the Alexandria medical community since 1994. He is active in the American Academy of Dermatology and the DC Dermatological Society.
ADCS, founded in 1989 by Matt Leavitt, DO, is a dermatology-focused practice with more than 146 clinics in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and Wyoming. The practice provides clinical, cosmetic, surgical and pathology services, as well as billing and coding management services for almost 90 third-party dermatology practices across the nation under the Ameriderm trade name.
In a prepared statement, Dave Morell, president and COO of ADCS, said the acquisition continues to strengthen ADCS' position in Virginia/DC/Maryland, as the practice continues to add patient access throughout the corridor.
