1. Charlevoix Hospital to Expand Munson Healthcare Affiliation
The Charlevoix (Mich.) Area Hospital board voted to explore an expanded affiliation with Traverse City, Mich.-based Munson Healthcare.
2. Ellis Medicine, St. Peter's Health Form Regional Health Alliance
Two New York health systems — Albany-based St. Peter's Health Partners and Ellis Medicine in Schenectady — announced plans to form a regional alliance.
3. Memorial Health, HealthSouth Plan Enter Into Rehab Hospital Joint Venture
Savannah, Ga.-based Memorial Health signed an agreement to form a joint venture with Birmingham, Ala.-based rehabilitative hospital services provider HealthSouth Corp. to own and operate a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
4. District One Hospital to Affiliate With Allina Health
District One Hospital Board of Faribault, Minn., introduced a proposed affiliation agreement with Allina Hospital, headquartered in Minneapolis, on Wednesday.
5. Onslow Memorial Hospital Seeks Partner
Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, N.C., is seeking a potential partner to help it surmount various financial challenges.
6. Lahey Health, St. Joseph Healthcare Expand Affiliation
Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Health and St. Joseph Healthcare — a 208-bed acute-care community hospital in Nashua, NH. — announced an agreement to expand their existing collaboration.
7. Alexian Brothers, Adventist Midwest Health to Affiliate
The two health systems in the Chicago area, which include nine hospitals total, have signed a non-binding letter of intent to form a joint operating company.
8. New Jersey Officials Approve St. Mary's Hospital Sale to Prime Healthcare
New Jersey Health Commissioner Mary E. O'Dowd and Attorney General John J. Hoffman approved the sale of St. Mary's Hospital in Passaic, N.J., to Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services, under certain conditions.
9. Northstar Health System, Aspirus Affiliate
Northstar Health System in Iron River, Mich., has finalized its affiliation with Wausau, Wis.-based Aspirus.
