Community Health Systems, in Franklin, Tenn., and its subsidiaries signed a definitive agreement to acquire Memorial Health Systems, in York, Pa.
2. Geisinger Health System Acquires County Medical Center in Pennsylvania
Geisinger Health System of Danville, Pa., acquired Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pa., and its affiliates. Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly and the Pennsylvania Department of Health approved the merger.
3. Clearwater Health Services in Minnesota Joins Sanford Health
Sanford Health, based in Fargo, N.D. and Sioux Falls, S.D., signed a definitive agreement to purchase Clearwater Health Services in Bagley, Minn.
4. Connecticut's Johnson Memorial Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital Reach Affiliation Agreement
Johnson Memorial Medical Center in Stafford Springs, Conn., and St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Conn., finalized an affiliation agreement.
5. Twin County Regional Healthcare Reaches Agreement with Duke LifePoint Healthcare
Twin County Regional Healthcare in Galax, Va., announced a definitive agreement with Duke LifePoint Healthcare of Brentwood, Tenn., for joint ownership of the hospital.
6. OSF Healthcare in Illinois Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire Ottawa Regional
Peoria, Ill-based OSF Healthcare System has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ottawa (Ill.) Regional Hospital & Healthcare Center.
7. Christus St. Michael Intends to Take Over Atlanta Memorial Hospital
Christus St. Michael Health System based in Texarkana, Texas, signed a letter of intent to discuss a lease agreement with Atlanta (Texas) Memorial Hospital.
8. St. Alexius Medical Center, McKenzie County Healthcare Systems Announce Affiliation
McKenzie County Healthcare Systems of Watford City, N.D. affiliated with St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, N. D., in February.
9. Northern Michigan Regional Hospital Joins McLaren Health Care
