1. J.C. Blair, PinnacleHealth Announce Partnership
J.C. Blair Health System, based in Huntingdon, Pa., and Harrisburg, Pa.-based PinnacleHealth System officially approved a strategic affiliation and support agreement.
2. Port Huron Becomes 12th McLaren Hospital
Port Huron (Mich.) Hospital and McLaren Health Care in Flint, Mich., signed a definitive acquisition agreement, making Port Huron Hospital the 12th hospital within the McLaren system.
3. Alameda Hospital Joins Alameda Health System
Alameda (Calif.) Hospital officially became a part of Oakland, Calif.-based Alameda Health System.
4. University of Utah Health, Community Hospital Announce Partnership
University of Utah Health Care, based in Salt Lake City, and Community Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo., reached a partnership agreement.
5. University of Wisconsin Health, SwedishAmerican Agree to Merge
The University of Wisconsin Health in Madison and SwedishAmerican Health System in Rockford, Ill., approved a letter of intent to merge.
6. Mount St. Mary's Hospital to Join Catholic Health
Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center, a 175-bed hospital in Lewiston, N.Y., agreed to become a full member of Catholic Health.
8. Acquisition Interest in TLC Health Grows
Five groups have now expressed interest in buying TLC Health Network, the operator of the bankrupt Lake Shore Health Care Center in Irving, N.Y.
