Penn State Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center and PinnacleHealth in Harrisburg, Pa., announced they are looking into expanding their "strategic relationship."

2. Judge Approves Prime Healthcare Purchase of Landmark Medical Center
Rhode Island Superior Court Judge Michael Silverstein granted final approval to Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services' purchase of Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, R.I.

3. Alameda Health System Boards Approve Affiliation
Oakland, Calif.-based public network Alameda Health System's board of trustees and the city of Alameda Health Care District board of directors approved the proposed affiliation between the health system and Alameda (Calif.) Hospital.

Conemaugh Health System in Johnstown, Pa., sent out a request for proposals as the three-hospital system looks to find a larger partner.

8. PeaceHealth, Cascade Valley Hospital Enter Affiliation Deal
Cascade Valley Hospitals and Clinics in Arlington, Wash., signed a letter of intent to affiliate with Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth, bringing negotiations between the two groups closer to a resolution.
