Seven Indiana hospitals and universities are partnering to boost residency options and economic development in the state through the construction of a new medical school, according to Inside Indiana Business.
Crews broke ground on the $70 million Indiana University Medical School project in 2015. The inaugural class of students will begin classes in fall 2018.
The seven entities collaborating on the project include Evansville-based Deaconess Health System, Vincennes-based Good Samaritan Hospital, Jasper-based Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, Evansville-based St. Mary's Health System, Bloomington-based Indiana University, University of Evansville and Evansville-based University of Southern Indiana.
