1. Berkshire Health Systems May Acquire Northern Berkshire Healthcare's Assets
Officials with Berkshire Health Systems in Pittsfield, Mass., entered negotiations to possibly acquire the assets of the bankrupt and shuttered Northern Berkshire Healthcare, based in North Adams, Mass.
2. Parkview Health, Wabash County Hospital Consider Affiliation
Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Ind., and Wabash (Ind.) County Hospital agreed to partner.
3. Guthrie Health, Memorial Hospital Reach Affiliation Agreement
Guthrie Health, a three-hospital system based in Sayre, Pa., and 183-bed Memorial Hospital in Towanda, Pa., signed an affiliation agreement.
4. Oconee Medical Center to Affiliate With Greenville Health System
Oconee Medical Center in Seneca, S.C., and Greenville (N.C.) Health System approved a non-binding letter of intent under which Oconee would join GHS.
5. Tufts Medical Center, Lowell General to Create System
Tufts Medical Center in Boston and Lowell (Mass.) General Hospital are working together to create a new regional health system.
6. Community Hospital Corp. Forms Relationships With 2 New Hospitals
Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corp.'s management and consulting arm, Community Hospital Consulting, has agreements with two new hospitals: Bowie (Texas) Memorial Hospital and Monroe County Hospital in Forsyth, Ga.
