1. Cleveland Clinic finalizes Akron General minority ownership deal
Cleveland Clinic and Akron (Ohio) General Health System struck an agreement under which the Clinic will become a minority owner of Akron General.
2. Memorial Hospital to join Stratus Healthcare
Memorial Hospital and Manor in Bainbridge, Ga., agreed to join Stratus Healthcare, an alliance of central and south Georgia hospitals focused on improving care quality.
3. Duke LifePoint, Conemaugh Health reach definitive acquisition agreement
Brentwood, Tenn.-based Duke LifePoint Healthcare signed a definitive agreement to acquire Conemaugh Health System in Johnstown, Pa.
4. St. Luke's, Weiser Memorial consider integration
Weiser (Idaho) Memorial Hospital and Boise, Idaho-based St. Luke's Health System signed a letter of intent to consider integration.
5. North Shore-LIJ joins Cleveland Clinic's Cardiovascular Specialty Network
The Cleveland Clinic Heart & Vascular Institute selected North Shore-LIJ Health System in Great Neck, N.Y., as its exclusive alliance member for providing heart patients in the New York metropolitan area with greater access to clinical trials and advances in cardiac care.
