Three Michigan healthcare companies will launch a home healthcare provider April 1 in Grand Rapids, Mich., to meet the area's growing demand for at-home services, according to MiBiz.
Here are six things to know about the collaboration.
1. Holland Home and Clark Retirement Community, both based in Grand Rapids, along with Holland, Mich.-based Resthaven, will form Atrio Home Care.
2. "Atrio" stands for "a trio of partners" and stems from previous relationships between Holland Home, Resthaven and Clark Retirement, according to the report.
3. Atrio will initially serve about 3,000 clients throughout a six-county area in west Michigan recovering from an illness or procedure or who require living assistance, the report states.
4. The home care company will maintain three business units and will employ 225 healthcare personnel including nurses, clinicians, aides and therapists.
5. The partners will share EMR software.
6. Atrio may expand the number of partners involved in the operation and increase its six-county service area to accommodate more individuals in the future, according to the report.
