Preliminary healthcare industry deal volume for November lags behind volume for the same month in 2014, according to a recent report by Irving Levin Associates.
The surge in healthcare deals in December 2014 carried over into the first quarter of 2015. There were 366 transactions recorded in the first quarter of this year — a new record for first-quarter deal volume.
However, deal volume has since slowed. Preliminary numbers show 107 healthcare transactions in November, down 28 percent from November 2014.
"Even as 2015's total deal volume will surpass last year's record of 1,312 transactions…this year was front-loaded with deals," according to the report.
