1. UCLA Mattel Children's, Miller Children's & Women's to form strategic affiliation
Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach, a 373-bed facility in California, and 131-bed UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital declared their intent to form a strategic affiliation.
2. Powell Valley Healthcare cuts ties with management company
Powell (Wyo.) Valley Healthcare officials voted to sever ties with Brentwood, Tenn.-based hospital consulting and management firm HealthTechS3 June 14.
3. DuPage Medical Group to acquire 25-member physician organization
Downers Grove, Ill.-based DuPage Medical Group, one of the largest independent multispecialty physician groups in the state, revealed plans to acquire Northwest Health Care Associates.
4. Sanford Health, Mid Dakota Clinic sign agreement to merge
Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health and Bismarck, N.D.-based Mid Dakota Clinic, once rivals, signed an agreement to combine operations "soon."
5. Cheyenne Regional in affiliation talks with 3 systems
Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center officials met with representatives from three health systems June 14 to discuss how a potential management services agreement would operate.
6. Aultman Health Foundation to explore affiliation with Ohio hospital
The boards of directors of Canton, Ohio-based Aultman Health Foundation and the Alliance Citizens Health Association signed a letter of intent to negotiate an affiliation between Alliance (Ohio) Community Hospital and the Foundation.
7. 2 Michigan providers mull integration
The boards of directors of Gaylord, Mich.-based Otsego Memorial Hospital and Traverse City, Mich.-based Munson Healthcare signed an agreement to integrate.
8. 2 CHS hospitals to join PinnacleHealth as early as July 1
Officials said Harrisburg, Pa.-based PinnacleHealth system's acquisition of two Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems hospitals will likely be effective July 1.
9. Snoqualmie Valley Hospital to begin accepting affiliation proposals
Interested parties may now complete and submit a proposal to affiliate with Snoqualmie (Wash.) Valley Hospital.
10. Cole Memorial inks LOI to join UPMC
Board members of Pittsburgh-based UPMC and Coudersport, Pa.-based Cole Memorial signed a letter of intent to affiliate.
11. Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health sign letter of intent to combine operations
Manchester, N.H.-based Elliot Health System and Nashua-based Southern New Hampshire Health signed a letter of intent to explore a potential partnership June 20.
12. Summit Health acquires Pennsylvania family practice
Chambersburg, Pa.-based Summit Health acquired Franklin Family Practice, a two-physician practice also in Chambersburg.
13. WVU Medicine, Highlands Hospital partner to open heart clinic
The WVU Heart and Vascular Institute, part of Morgantown-based WVU Medicine, partnered with Connellsville, Pa.-based Highlands Hospital to open a clinic to provide area residents with high quality heart and vascular care.
14. 2 Georgia hospitals sell for $7.5M
SG Property Services, a property management firm, finalized its purchase of WellStar Medical Group Douglasville (Ga.) Medical Center and Prestley Mill Medical Center, also in Douglasville, for $7.5 million.
15. Boca Raton Regional searches for 'strategic partner'
Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital officials are seeking a strategic partner with the possibility of entering into an acquisition or merger.
16. University of Nebraska Medical Center partners with NYC Health + Hospitals, Emory for emergency medical trials
The Global Center for Health Security at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha partnered with NYC Health + Hospitals and Atlanta-based Emory University to develop and conduct emergency medical trials for infectious diseases.
17. Marshfield Clinic in negotiations to purchase Wisconsin hospital
Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic entered exclusive negotiations to purchase Rusk County Memorial Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Ladysmith, Wis.
