HCA Healthcare inked a deal in September to acquire five Utah hospitals from Steward Health Care. The transaction is on hold after a judge issued a temporary restraining order to pause the deal at the request of the Federal Trade Commission, Bloomberg Law reported June 7. 

Jupiter (Fla.) Medical Center and Gainesville-based University of Florida Health have signed a letter of intent to partner and improve healthcare delivery, research and education in Palm Beach and Martin counties. 

California Attorney General Rob Bonta conditionally approved the affiliation between Arcadia-based Methodist Hospital of Southern California and Los Angeles-based USC Health System.

Dartmouth Health and Manchester, N.H.-based GraniteOne Health are canceling their proposed merger after the state Attorney General's Office said the move would violate the New Hampshire constitution, according to VTDigger.

New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella released a report May 13 from the Charitable Trusts Unit objecting to the proposed merger between Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth Health and Manchester, N.H.-based GraniteOne Health.
