Wyoming's Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Rejects RegionalCare's Offer

Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center said it is not considering any acquisition offers, but is developing a new strategic alignment process, according to a hospital news release.

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is not selling to Brentwood, Tenn.-based RegionalCare, which in March made an unsolicited offer of $80 million to lease and operate the hospital and $100 million for new construction.

The alignment process will focus on the improving the hospital's quality, strengthening relationships with physicians and solidifying the hospital's future. Members of the hospital's Board of Trustees, the Laramie County Commission and members of the Cheyenne Regional Foundation Board will help develop Cheyenne Regional's plans for the future.

Although the hospital is not considering selling, it may consider partnerships to reduce the cost of new technologies and government programs.
