HCA's Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, Texas, and Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas, will soon merge under the Clear Lake Regional umbrella, according to a Daily News report.
No jobs are expected to be lost when Clear Lake Regional's license is extended to Mainland Medical.
The move allows the hospitals to qualify for a larger share of government dollars for indigent care.
