The Massachusetts attorney general's office and the state's Department of Public Health will hold a public hearing on Aug. 9 on the planned sale of Quincy (Mass.) Medical Center to Boston-based for-profit Steward Health Care System, according to a Boston Globe report.
Quincy entered bankruptcy protection earlier this month, just after its board agreed to sell to Steward, which operates Caritas Christi Health Care, also based in Boston.
