Auburn, N.Y.-based Auburn Memorial Hospital is considering a merger or partnership with one of three hospitals in Syracuse, N.Y., according to a Post-Standard report.
Spurred by healthcare reform and expected Medicaid costs, Auburn Memorial Hospital is looking at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Crouse Hospital and Upstate University Hospital for a possible affiliation.
Auburn Memorial Hospital is not in any formal talks and has not decided what kind of affiliation — a partnership or merger — to pursue.
