The merger between Delnor Health System in Geneva, Ill., and Central DuPage Health in Winfield, Ill., is complete, according to a CDH news release.
The hospitals plan to provide care to over 1 million people through the merger. The hospitals will maintain their day-to-day operations, charitable foundations and identity.
The new system's CEO is Luke McGuinness, CDH president and CEO.
Officials are developing a name for the health system.
