November Issue; Becker’s Hospital Review 6th Annual Meeting
November Issue. We are proud of our November issue of Becker’s Hospital Review, which is centered around the topic of benchmarking. In the next few pages, you’ll find the annual list of 200 Hospital Benchmarks, which includes a range of operational and financial measures for hospitals to gauge their performance. The issue also contains a roundtable with health system CFOs, an examination of why and when benchmarks can get problematic and a story on how the shift from inpatient to outpatient volumes may affect hospitals’ financial ratings and performance measurement.
The November issue also contains a diverse mix of feature stories, such as the ultimate CFO dashboard, an examination of why CIOs rarely become CEOs and a feature story exploring hospitals and health systems’ recruitment of board members who live miles away. Our writers caught up with Dr. Farzad Mostashari about his thoughts about ACOs, learned more about the story behind hospital-backed capital funds and gained insight as to why more hospitals are adopting horizontal leadership structures.
6th Annual Meeting. Becker’s Hospital Review is hosting its 2015 Annual Meeting in Chicago, May 7-9.
