Yale to offer online PA program

New Haven, Conn.-based Yale School of Medicine announced plans to launch a new blended physician assistant program, which incorporates online training with clinical clerkships.

The program would provide students across the country with interactive, live classes hosted online, coupled with clinical clerkships similar to those in Yale's residential PA program. Field sites will be selected by Yale and located more conveniently for remote students.

2U, a Landover, Md.-based education technology company, is partnering with the university to host the platform for the online classes. Accreditation for the program is pending.
