Arlington-based Virginia Hospital Center is consolidating its employed physicians into one group and one brand, according to a Washington Business Journal report.
Currently, the hospital's physicians are in a private practice model, working as independent subsidiaries grouped by specialty, according to the report. Soon, the groups will be branded as multispecialty Virginia Hospital Center Physicians Group and be on the hospital's central electronic medical records system.
The move is expected to boost recognition of the hospital's physicians by the community and strengthen physician alignment, according to the report.
